Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some questions and answers that may help you understand the private auto transport services provided by GO 2.

Q. How should the vehicle be prepared for transport?
A. Remove all personal belongings. Perform preventative maintenance on your vehicle; leaking fluids can cause damage to your vehicle as well as others. Remove all loose items from your vehicle and/or secure all items attached to your vehicle. Ensure there is no more than 1/4 tank of gas in your vehicle. Wash your vehicle so it is easier to inspect.
Q. Can personal belongings be packed in the vehicle?
A. No. It is against Department of Transportation regulations to pack personal belongings in your vehicle.
Q. What do I do if there is no truck access near where the vehicle to be shipped is located?
A. If your requested pick-up or delivery destination is inaccessible for a commercial vehicle, our drivers will meet you at a nearby pre-determined location.
Q. How can I track the vehicle?
A. Our logistics team has constant updates regarding all of our transporters. With satellite and GPS technology, every truck can be tracked.
Q. Who must be available when vehicle is picked up or delivered?
A. Upon pickup and delivery someone must be present to complete the paperwork and exchange the keys. If the vehicle owner is not available, you may provide an alternate person to represent you. According to federal regulations, auto carriers must have keys for vehicles being shipped.
Q. What type of car hauler will pick up my vehicle?
A. Typically vehicles are transported in open car haulers. Special arrangements may be made to have your vehicle transported in an enclosed carrier.
